Foster Families’ Back to School Swim Party

The foster kids’ pool party is set for Saturday, August 1, from 10 – noon.

Rain Date will be one weekday evening the following week.

Location is the Lexington Golf Club Pool, 3 City Club Circle, Lex.  It’s behind the golf course and what used to be the Dutch Club a block off Fairview Drive.

AS ALWAYS I need volunteers, especially volunteers who will get in the pool and play with the children.  The more responsible teens and adults I have watching and playing with the children, the better, meaning safer.  It also gives the foster parents a bit of a break.  Most of these families bring several children, and appreciate the extra eyes and hands and arms.  : )  There will be 2 or 3 paid lifeguards, but I like man-to-man instead of zone coverage for this event. : )

If you’re willing to help, but don’t want to get in the big pool, there’s also a toddler pool that needs some extra help.

We also have a snack table and free book table where someone who really doesn’t want to get wet could be a big help. Donations are needed for our snack table. Individual packs of Goldfish, Chips, Cookies, Crackers, and other non-messy snacks as well as, small bottles of water would be greatly appreciated.

This is the easiest event we host.  Just swimming, snacks, and books.  Arrive about 9:45, leave by 12:15.  But I need help.
