We’ve hit an exciting and important turn in our Pastoral Search Process and a number of milestones have been completed.
- The Church Profile Document has Been Completed – Check it Out!
- The Sr. Pastor Position has Been Posted: PCA Website & the GRN Website.
- The Nominations for the Search Committee are in. (below)
We are now ready to elect a Pulpit Search Committee! As you know, the last 3 Sundays you had the opportunity to nominate men and women to be on the ballot for the Search Committee. Here are some answers to questions related to this:
- Congregational Meeting to Vote on the Names: June 29 after worship (BCO 20.2)
- You must be present to Vote (BCO 20-4)
- Some of the individuals that you nominated are not on the ballot as they realized they are not able to meet the communicated requirements given other commitments.
- While all Elders and Deacons were eligible to be on the ballot, some asked that their names not be on it due to their other commitments.
- If a Husband and Wife are both nominated to the committee, there is nothing stopping them from both serving, however, if one of them decides it would be best to step down, the person with the next most votes in that category will be on the committee.
- You will be able to vote for 2 Elders, 1 Deacon, 4 Women, and 2 Men from the following Nominated Members:

We also wanted to give you an update on the Sayour Family. Through much prayer and deliberation, they believe it is best that Ariel and Asher start their new school this fall, rather than make a mid-year transition. This means Susan and the kids will be beginning their life in FL in August. This is not goodbye, as they will be back to visit throughout the Fall. Please keep the Sayour family in your prayers during their own transitions.
