PCA NEWS:
During this past summer’s General Assembly, the PCA Commissioned a group of men to draft a petition “condemning the practice of surgical and medical gender reassignment, especially of minors” and directing the PCA Stated Clerk to send that petition to Federal government officials. The full charge for the Commission was as follows:
That Overture 12 from Evangel Presbytery (“Petition Government to End Sex-change Procedures for Minors,” p. 55) be answered by empowering the Moderator to appoint a commission to draft a humble petition (WCF 31-4), which the PCA Stated Clerk shall send to the President of the United States, the majority and minority party leaders in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, and the Chief Justice of the United States; and recommend the Presbytery Clerks to send the petition to the Governors, the majority and minority party leaders in the State Legislatures, and the Chief Justice of the State Supreme Courts in their regions, condemning the practice of surgical and medical gender reassignment, especially of minors.
Moderator Fred Greco chose 3 Teaching Elders and 3 Ruling Elders from across the denomination who hold expertise and experience in Christian Ethics, Pediatric Medicine, and Ministry to Politicians to comprise the Commission to draft the statement.
That Humble Petition has now come out and has been sent to President Joe Biden, Chief Justice John Roberts, and Republican and Democrat leaders in the House of Representatives and Senate. The PCA Stated Clerk has also sent this petition to all the Clerks of PCA Presbyteries requesting they send the same to their state governors, supreme courts, and legislatures.

Let us be in prayer that the Lord would use this statement for His own Glory, for the safety of children, to convict and convince our elected officials, and the protection of our members. May the Lord turn hearts in this country back to him.
Please ask your presbytery clerks to send this petition to their state government officials and if need be to make motions in your presbyteries making that request.
